SAND FILTERS

WHEN YOUR SOIL AND LOT REQUIRE A HIGH TECH SOLUTION

In soils where a standard septic system will not work, if the lot size is large enough, a sand filter can be used.

Sand filters use aerobic bacteria to clean the septic tank effluent much more thouroughly before it gets to teh drainfield.

DEQ regulations require sand filter systems to be "inspected every three years (yearly inspections are preferable) for bottom sludge and surface scum accumulation."
